This is a Full time role for 37.5 hours a week.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Good (3+ years) experience of working in a senior administrator position in Quality/Governance arenas, including engagement with senior management teams.
- Good (3+ years) experience and understanding of relevant information governance assessment frameworks. Ideally this experience includes the NHS DSP Toolkit.
- Significant experience of working in a senior administrative role supporting senior managers and liaising with third parties. Ideally this experience would be within the healthcare sector.
- Strong MS Office skills.
- Skills and experience in development and delivery of effective training, communication and change management.
- Good relationship management, project management, and process skills.
Duties of this role include:
- Act as Circle Health Group’s (CHG’s) main point of contact for queries coming to the Information Governance (IG) team & Data Protection Officer from hospitals, corporate site and third parties (including patients) to ensure that all data protection related queries and complaints are properly reviewed and resolved/responded to in a timely manner.
- Process Subject Access Requests (SARs) that are within the remit of the IG team in a timely manner.
- Review submitted Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and identify where activities contain risks of non-compliance with Data Privacy laws. Ensure that identified risks are appropriately mitigated/managed.
- Support our Information Asset Owners and Administrators to complete Record of Processing Activities (RoPA) and review RoPAs on an annual basis for completeness and accuracy.
- Work closely with the Head of Information Governance, and the Data Protection Officer in the provision of support for wider information governance activities, such as Data Protection Controller/Processor Agreement reviews and effective incident management.
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with key stakeholders (e.g. Clinical Services, IT, etc.) and ensure that suitable information governance reviews take place for all of CHG’s projects and that any required IG-related documentation (e.g. RoPAs, DPIAs, Data Sharing Agreements, 3rd Party Data Processor Reviews, etc.) are completed, signed off and auditable.
- Support the completion of the Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT) assessment. Liaise with relevant service areas representatives in the collation of evidence which meets the requirements of the DSPT.
- Promote awareness of IG across CHG. Provide IG bespoke training and advice to staff including communications to managers, local IG/Information Security “Champions”, and 3rd party partners to ensure that all are kept informed of the legal requirements for processing of personal data.
