We have an opportunity for a DevOps Engineer to join our Engineering team of staff.
This is a Full time role for 37.5 hours a week.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- You have significant experience in CI/CD tooling, with a strong focus on Azure DevOps pipelines for automating workflows for build, test, and deployment processes.
- You have extensive experience working with cloud platforms, predominantly Microsoft Azure, and a thorough understanding of Azure services and architecture.
- You will have experience of building Azure DevOps pipelines for the deployment of integrations to Azure APIM
- You are proficient in programming and scripting languages such as Python, C#, and PowerShell, leveraging these skills to automate and optimise processes within Azure environments.
- You demonstrate excellent DevOps practices with a strong understanding of their principles and applications, including practical experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- You possess strong, demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills, utilising data analysis and reporting tools to drive informed decision-making.
- You are keen and able to learn new technologies, staying current with industry trends and advancements.
- You have excellent interpersonal skills and a strong customer and team-working ethos, capable of building and maintaining effective working relationships across IT End-Users, Clinicians, Managers, IT teams, and third parties.
- You can effectively explain and translate highly technical documents to non-technical colleagues, ensuring clear understanding and collaboration.
- You have experience mentoring and developing team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- You have knowledge of relevant legislation, including data protection (e.g., GDPR), information security, and information governance, ensuring compliance in all operations.
- Experience in a private healthcare-based role is desirable, adding value through domain-specific knowledge.
Duties of this role include:
- You design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the software delivery process.
- You utilise Azure Pipelines to create multi-stage CI/CD workflows that streamline the build, test, and deployment processes.
- You use Azure Artifacts to manage dependencies and package management for smoother deployments.
- You configure build agents and runners within Azure DevOps to optimise build and test performance.
- You will have a strong understanding of Azure infrastructure components and services.
- You automate the provisioning and management of servers, networks, and storage using Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Terraform scripts, and Azure Automation.
- You utilise Azure DevOps to integrate IaC workflows, ensuring seamless and automated infrastructure deployments.
- You will participate and support the engineering team’s journey to agile SCRUM working practices.
- You provide technical guidance and support to team members.
- You will educate the wider team in DevOps technologies and practices.
- You implement and manage monitoring solutions to track system performance and application health.
- Set up logging and alerting mechanisms to quickly identify and address issues.
You implement security best practices throughout the development and deployment lifecycle.
You ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
You perform security assessments and audits to identify and address vulnerabilities.
