Driver Hire Bournemouth and Salisbury are offering a flexible temporary opportunity for experienced HGV Class 1 Car Transporter Driver with our client in Poole. As part of this role, you will be required to complete deliveries of vehicles in a HGV 1 Car Transporter. You must have at least 6 months experience of working in a car transporter role. and be familiar with loading and unloading cars.
Position: HGV Class 1 Car Transporter
Days: Monday-Friday (flexible)
Start time: 07:00 AM
Start date: 29th December
Location: Poole
Pay Rate: £15.97-17.09 (basic) - £18.21-19.61 (nights) - £20.17-20.73(weekends). Quoted rate is for PAYE advance holiday pay.
As a HGV Driver you MUST have:
- a valid UK Class 1 HGV driving licence
- a valid CPC and digital tachograph card
- a minimum of 6 months of recent commercial car transporter experience
- your own transport to get to and from work
- no more than 6 penalty points (no DR, DD or IN codes)
As a HGV Driver you will be responsible for:
- Safely operating HGVs to transport cars to various locations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, colleagues, and customers
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety
