The role of kitchen assistant will see you work in all areas of the kitchen including kitchen porter, basic food preparation and adhering to cleaning schedules.

Do you have a real love of food and would like to join our friendly catering team working as Kitchen Assistant at our Hotel?
You'll be involved with the preparation of food, managing stock and wastage.
This is a role where you will receive ongoing training and there is scope to progress throughout the kitchen.
Job Requirements:
This role offers variety to your working day as well as the opportunity to gain experience within the hospitality industry. The emphasis always being on providing exceptional customer service.
We offer an attractive remuneration package with 28 days holiday per year including bank holidays, discount in all John Lewis and Waitrose stores, learning and leisure subsidies plus discounts and deals available at hundreds of high street names.
Live in accommodation is available on-site at a cost of 66p deducted from every hour worked, which acts as a contribution towards living costs. This price remains unmatched in the surrounding area by some margin and covers accommodation in your own private quarters, all general bills & meals.
Required essential experience skills and qualifications:
- Good communication skills.
- Can do attitude showing flexibility to work in the department.
- Food Safety Level 2 (will be trained within 3 months).

Desirable experience skills and qualifications:
- Previous commercial kitchen experience including basic preparation of food items
- Able to be flexible in work approach and skill training
