Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients.
Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and safe delivery of products to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage and fuel usage.
Skills
- Proven experience in driving, particularly in a commercial setting.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and customers.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently to meet delivery deadlines.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a volumetric driver or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Valid commercial driving licence is essential for operating heavy machinery.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly personality.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Class 2: 2 years (required)
- CPC (required)
Job Type and Schedule:
- Full time, in person at the company’s premises in Poole.
- Monday to Friday 7:00-17:00pm
- Saturday 7:00-12:00pm unless not needed
