Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable removals Driver / Porter to join our team who is hard working and ideally who has experience packing, stacking, wrapping furniture, basic dismantling / reassembling skills, completing basic paperwork and taking lead on jobs when required. However experience is not essential as training can be provided for the right candidate.
The work will entail some early morning starts Monday to Friday with some very occasional Saturdays to accommodate heavy workloads (prior notice would be given).
However most days you will start at 7.30 and aim to be finished around 17.00/17.30, but due to the nature of the industry, timings will vary.
The candidate must be aware that this is a physically demanding role, the job involves driving, loading household / office effects, unloading, storage works and the occasional night away (hotels provided).
We are after people who can apply a professional approach to their work, have a pleasant manner with customers, who are hard working, happy to work as a team and are easy going and most importantly reliable.
Hourly rate is negotiable and would be subject to experience, we also offer a daily bonus on top as well.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate and drive a removal van to transport goods and furniture.
- Load and unload items with care, ensuring proper handling to avoid damage.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery schedules and requirements.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues.
- Provide excellent customer service during interactions with clients.
