The Centre for Food Policy at City St George’s, University of London, is a leading interdisciplinary research centre focused on redesigning effective food systems. The Centre’s research uses food systems approaches to uncover unsustainable, inequitable and unhealthy foods systems practices and support the development of evidence-informed and inclusive food policy decisions. We listen to and engage with people across the food system to uncover how food systems really work in practice.
A part-time (0.6 FTE) Centre Coordinator is sought to join the Centre for Food Policy on a permanent contract. The Centre Coordinator is an integral and valued member of the Centre for Food Policy who is passionate about redesigning food systems and communicating the team’s research and evidence to have impact on policy and practice. The role plays a major role in developing our external and alumni communications and relations, organising events, supporting the centre to deliver impact and conducting administrative tasks, particularly those supporting the Director.
The role will best suit a self-starter and creative thinker, who would enjoy being embedded in a team passionate about redesigning food systems to achieve health, equity and environmental sustainability. The successful candidate will have skills and experience producing engaging communication materials for a range of audiences, organising events and providing administrative support to individuals in leadership positions. Experience of providing administrative support in Higher Education settings in the UK and ability to take initiative as appropriate are desirable.
