You will either support referrals from our UK insurance business, providing 1-2-1 clinical practice to clients across a range of increasingly complex mental health conditions, or you will work directly with one of our corporate clients to support mental health awareness and referrals for their employees.
By working remotely you will be a first point of clinical contact for people with potential mental health issues and concerns and you will provide a high quality, effective and safe mental wellbeing service across agreed sectors of care via MS Teams.
The role will be a mixture of Clinical Delivery alongside performing in a Senior capacity.
The duties & responsibilities of the role will involve the following:
- To provide high-quality therapeutic care, which demonstrates excellent clinical outcomes.
- To deliver comprehensive assessments and formulations that drive evidence-based intervention.
- To ensure a thorough assessment determines the most appropriate pathway of care and support for the client.
- To provide different models of service delivery including telephone or video consultation, depending on client preference.
- To adhere to Bupa’s case management processes and work collaboratively with the Clinical Leads and wider therapy team.
- To adhere to sessional limits depending on the client’s monetary allowance as determined by their Private Medical Insurance, whilst working towards therapeutic recovery goals.
- To provide signposting or onwards referral as and when required.
- To provide ad-hoc or one-off wellbeing support and coaching as and when required.
- To provide one-off assessments and referral recommendations, when required.
- To work at a client level to provide group psychoeducation, raising awareness of mental health and wellbeing, promotion of mental wellbeing guidance via remote presentation, workshop events and training as and when required.
- To work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of Bupa’s service policies and procedures.
- To attend regular clinical supervision, via individual and group provision, and monthly team meetings to support clinical practice, in line with BUPA and the practitioner’s professional body guidelines.
- To work with the operational and clinical team to identify ways to improve client and employee experiences.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
- Professional doctorate qualification in Clinical/Counselling Psychology as accredited by the British Psychological Society.
- Health and Care Professions Council registration as a qualified Chartered Clinical/Counselling Psychologist.
- Adult experience as a Chartered Clinical/Counselling Psychologist is necessary.
- Additional Children’s Clinical Psychologist experience is desirable.
- At least 1 year’s post-qualification clinical experience.
