Join InsideOut as a Clinical Psychologist (3-4 days a week) and be an integral part to supporting thousands of people to improve their mental health. Reporting to the CEO/founder, who is the vision behind the business, you’ll play a key role in delivering and refining our evidence-based, innovative mental health solutions, while guiding our team of mental health experts. You’ll collaborate across the business to enhance our tools and interventions, lead research initiatives, and provide expert input on clinical and safeguarding practices.

About you:
We are looking for an exceptional, forward-thinking Clinical Psychologist who has an entrepreneurial mindset and wants to change the way mental health care is provided at scale. As you will be overseeing the clinical side of the business in a start-up, you will need both time and commitment, and the energy, passion, grit, determination and enthusiasm to be ‘hands-on’ in leading our drive for developing the best mental health product in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, design and refine digital evidence-based therapeutic programmes, and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Lead research initiatives, designing and conducting clinical studies to validate our tools and interventions.
- Enhance safeguarding policies, ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with the wider InsideOut team and industry partners e.g. universities to develop world-class content such as blog posts, marketing materials and other assets, including e.g. brochures and case studies
- Lead and guide our team of mental health professionals (Coaches, Counsellors, and Therapists).
- Act as a subject matter expert, contributing clinical insights to shape the InsideOut product and ensure it remains world-class.
- Design and deliver (if needed) engaging workshops, webinars, and training sessions for users and clients.
- Create high-quality content for blogs, marketing materials, and other resources.
- Provide insights to help scale InsideOut as a leading workplace mental health provider.
- Provide supervision to our team of expert coaches and therapists as needed and continuously manage performance.
- Work collaboratively with InsideOut team members on the development of new features and product ideas, proactively contributing new concepts.
- Contribute to the future direction of the business, ensuring clinical guidelines are adhered to.
- Support in the writing of grant funding applications.
We’re looking for someone who can bring the following to the team:
- MSc or PhD in a psychology-related field.
- HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist with at least 5+ years of experience.
- Experience with CBT, IPT, or third-wave approaches.
- Understanding of the NICE clinical standards framework.
- Proven track record in leading and completing research projects.
- Experience is using digital mental health platforms.
- Experience in using AI and knowledge of the latest AI technologies.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and communication skills.
- Confidence in delivering webinars, training sessions, and other events.
- A proactive, team-oriented attitude and a passion for mental health and innovation.
- Willingness to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
