Company Description
Home Instead is the world’s leading provider of non-medical care and companionship services for older people. We love our relationship with our caregivers, all of whom say they are proud to work for us. With minimum visits of one hour, an Outstanding rating from CQC, and excellent reviews on homecare.co.uk we are immensely proud of the quality of care we provide.
Job Description
Our aim is to brighten the lives of people living in our community and giving them a sense of purpose, wellbeing & worth. This role will play a vital part ensuring that our clients receive the best-in-class quality care and support the growth of our business. We take pride in what we do and are one of only 4% of UK care providers to be rated Outstanding by the care quality commission.
Job Description -
· You must have a big smile that will make each client’s face light up when they welcome you at the door.
· As each day is varied, you’ll need to think on your feet…it helps to be light on them too as clients often enjoy a dance following afternoon tea.
· A good pair of eyes and ears are essential. Ears to listen to a lifetime’s worth of stories, and eyes to help find things if they’ve been misplaced!
· You must find joy in the little moments in life. A cuppa made “just right” or asking for the second scoop of ice cream on a hot day!
· We don’t wear uniforms (it’s friendlier that way), but you must be prepared to roll up your sleeves to cook in the kitchen or maybe even bring in some flowers from the garden!
· Timekeeping is crucial, you should arrive on time, take your time to listen, take time to understand and take time to care – we measure time in hours, and each one matters.
· A GCSE in history is not required, but helping a client relive their memories by flicking through a photo album together will be sure to make their day.
· You’ll need to bring oodles of patience and a sense of humour. We’re a social bunch at Home Instead who love getting together for regular training (and parties!) and we’ll always be there to support you, no matter what.
· A driving licence and reliable car is essential – you’ll need to be able to get to your client, and sometimes maybe enjoy some time out of the home with them.
· If you tick some of these boxes, then a job at Home Instead might just tick yours!
Qualifications
None required..... Just a kind heart and willingness to help. All training and support provided.
