Drivers Direct Recruitment are seeking dedicated HGV Class 1 Drivers to join or clients team who are based in Poole.

Salary
The Role:
- General Haulage on a HGV Class 1 vehicles.
- Delivering to businesses commercial and customer addresses.
- Deliveries are palletised.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Safely driving company vehicles to transport goods to various locations.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment.
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues.
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
- Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving
- Comply with HGV driving rules and regulations as well as company policies.
Essential Skills:
- Must hold a valid HGV 1 / Cat C+E licence.
- Must hold a valid driver qualification (CPC) card.
- Must hold a valid Digital tacho card.
- Minimum of 6 months HGV 1 experience required (due to insurance stipulations).
- Good communication skills.
- Good customer relations.
- Have a safe driving record.
- No more than 6 minor penalty points (due to insurance stipulations).
- No DR’s, IN’s or DD’s offence codes (due to insurance stipulations).
