The School of Psychological Science Professional Services team are seeking to appoint a part-time Administrative Assistant to provide professional, effective and efficient administrative support to the School’s Professional Services Team. You will work primarily on reception which means this is a campus-based role and will support various aspects of administration tasks. This is a varied and interesting role and would suit someone who enjoys working on multiple tasks and small projects. Due to the nature of the role, hybrid working is not possible.
- Provide general office support to the school’s wider administrative team.
- Fulfil administrative duties such as filing, welcoming visitors, dealing with routine office enquiries in-person, on the telephone and email, reporting maintenance issues and signposting general enquiries to the relevant contacts.
- Assisting with data entry, producing documents and letters.
- Support with travel and accommodation bookings
- Have day-to-day responsibility of the smooth running of the school’s reception.
- Arrange and support routine meetings or events, order catering where appropriate and the arrangement of events and meetings.
- Keep appropriate record and filing systems updated and carry out information searches as required.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have a high-level of organisation and able to reprioritise workload to respond to changing priorities on a reception-based role.
Also you will have excellent customer service and communication skills as well as the ability to form effective relationships with staff and stakeholders across all levels. As well as being able to demonstrate a clear commitment to diversity and inclusion. You will have a supportive approach to work, with a friendly and positive manner.
