Nursery: Bright Horizons Basingstoke Day Nursery and Preschool
Salary: £24,271 - £30,000 p/a (dependant on qualification/s and experience)
Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire
We are looking for full or part time, qualified Early Years Practitioners to join our Bright Horizons Basingstoke Copper Beeches Day Nursery and Preschool, situated within a walking distance to the Town Centre and walking distance of Basingstoke Train Station.
We are offering full time and part time hours with rates of pay between £25,200 - £30,000 p/a for Nursery Practitioners L3, and between £24,271 - £25,100 p/a for Nursery Practitioners L2.
We know flexible working is important, so we are able to offer contracts of 3, 4 or 5 days a week, whatever suits you!
The nursery has stunning expansive gardens with its very own yurt, dedicated children’s kitchen, 7 base rooms and large onsite parking. In addition, there’s a large staff room to relax in, training opportunities, wellbeing is at the heart of the Nursery, and a robust and supportive induction programme.

What you’ll be doing
- Plan, create, implement and reflect on engaging activities, tailored to each of your key children, to encourage their development towards key milestones.
- Develop and maintain strong parent/ carer partnerships
- Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding
- Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy and safe environment
What we’re looking for
- Full and Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification (essential)
- Previous experience working with children (ideally as a Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Early Years Practitioner, or similar)
- Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
- Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
- Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
