The opportunity
We’re looking for a dedicated Apprenticeship Trainer to join our friendly Apprenticeship team and play a key role in shaping the next generation of industry professionals. In this role, you’ll plan, deliver, and coordinate training that empowers our apprentices to gain the skills, knowledge, and behaviours they need to excel in their chosen careers.
Managing a caseload of apprentices, you’ll provide personalised guidance and support throughout their learning journey. This includes delivering interactive college-based sessions, conducting workplace visits, and preparing apprentices for their end-point assessments. You’ll also ensure off-the-job training is effectively monitored and that our apprentices are well equipped to meet their targets and succeed in their roles.
You’ll conduct skills assessments, create tailored training plans, and develop bespoke materials aligned with apprenticeship standards. You will also deliver engaging lessons, offer constructive feedback, and maintain close collaboration with employers to support our apprentices in achieving their goals. Additionally, you’ll train employers and apprentices in using electronic portfolio systems, uphold compliance with awarding body standards, and champion workplace health and safety to foster a secure learning environment.
This role also offers a healthy work-life balance with some flexibility with working days which will be discussed at interview stage. You’ll be part of a supportive team, and you will have the opportunity to collaborate and share valuable knowledge and experiences from the childcare sector. Additionally, you’ll have the chance to contribute to an evolving and innovative learning portfolio, making a meaningful impact on the development of our apprentices.
About you
We’re looking for an energetic and passionate individual to support our apprentices in developing the skills and knowledge needed to excel in the childcare sector. If you have a background in training, a talent for guiding others, and the drive to make a meaningful difference, this could be the perfect role for you.
Ideally, you’ll bring proven expertise in the childcare sector, whether in early years, childcare management, or residential childcare. While experience in delivering training or mentoring within a childcare setting is a plus and management experience is preferred, neither is essential. What truly matters is your enthusiasm for inspiring and empowering our students and apprentices to achieve their full potential.
We’re looking for someone with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills who thrives on building positive relationships with apprentices and their employers. Confidence in conducting skills analyses, designing tailored training plans, and using electronic portfolio systems to monitor and track progress is key.
Your dedication to ensuring apprentices meet their learning goals and are fully prepared for end-point assessments will make you stand out. A proactive approach to compliance, health and safety, and quality assurance is essential, alongside the ability to mentor and support apprentices through every step of their journey.
Above all, you’ll be committed to making a lasting impact. By shaping the future childcare workforce, you’ll inspire the next generation of professionals to thrive in their careers and contribute to the sector’s ongoing success.
