Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional self employed owner driver to handle deliveries across the BH postcode area, with potential for some surrounding areas. The role involves operating a LWB or XLWB van to deliver goods to various locations, ensuring all items are delivered safely and on time. You will be responsible for collecting an e-POD (electronic proof of delivery) and returning it at the end of the day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Start daily deliveries from the collection location at 8:00am.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working order.
- Complete up to 70+ deliveries across the BH postcode area and potentially some surrounding regions.
- If the day exceeds 200 miles or 10 hours, overtime will apply at £1.50 per mile or £15 per hour.
- Collect and return the e-POD (electronic proof of delivery) at the end of the shift.
- Ensure all deliveries are made safely and within the scheduled timeframe.
- Maintain communication with the central team and address any issues that may arise during the day.
- Ensure the van is clean and well-maintained.
Driver Pay: £180 per day (£216 inc VAT)
Requirements:
- Must have a LWB or XLWB van, available Monday to Friday.
- Ability to work within specified hours and deadlines.
- Valid driving license and relevant insurance.
- Previous delivery experience is preferred.
- Good knowledge of the BH postcode area (familiarity with surrounding areas is a plus).
- Ability to handle electronic proof of delivery (e-POD).
- Excellent communication skills and professionalism.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
