iStep Learning is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Third in Charge to join our dynamic nursery team. In this key role, you will assist in the day-to-day operations of the nursery, supporting the Room Leader in ensuring high standards of care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years. You will also step up as the lead when necessary, guiding and mentoring a team of practitioners and working closely with parents to support every child’s development.
We are looking for a dedicated individual with a solid understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, along with excellent teamwork and support skills to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and delivering engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework.
- Support and motivate a team of practitioners to ensure high-quality care and education.
- Monitor and contribute to assessments of children’s development, ensuring their individual needs are met.
- Build strong relationships with parents and carers, providing regular updates on their child’s progress.
- Ensure adherence to safeguarding, health, and safety regulations within the room.
- Assist in team development through mentoring and professional guidance.
