As the Technology Resilience Analyst, you will ensure Primark’s Technology systems and processes are resilient against disruptions. This role will focus on resilience testing, risk assessment, mitigation strategy development, and compliance with business continuity and disaster recovery standards.

What You’ll Do:
In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skill sets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:
- Planning: Develop and maintain IT resilience frameworks, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory standards. Identify and address gaps in resilience strategies.
- Testing: Develop, coordinate and oversee the annual recovery test schedules and testing strategies for the in-scope failure modes. Assist with test execution, including test plans and communication plans. Produce test completion reports (including lessons learnt) and identify gaps and risks in the recovery capabilities.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct technology resilience risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and threats. Monitor emerging risks in the technology resilience landscape and recommend appropriate actions.
- Documentation: Maintain up-to-date documentation for the resilience and recovery capability. This includes regularly maintaining accurate end-to-end recovery plans and runbooks in collaboration with internal and 3rd party stakeholders, as well as maintaining the overarching command and control plans to be used during a disaster.
- Tooling: Maintain and evolve resilience and recovery tools.
- Reporting: Produce detailed reports and presentations on resilience issues, including testing outcomes and system vulnerabilities. Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.
- Maintaining the resilience capability: Ensure resilience and recovery capabilities are maintained through the IT Change Management practices and when new IT services are implemented, including articulating resilience and recovery requirements, understanding dependencies and determining any uplifts required to other IT systems and services, to accommodate the new/ changed service.
What You’ll Bring

- At least 3 years experience working within technology resilience, disaster recovery, and IT operations roles. Strong operational knowledge of IT Disaster Recovery and Cyber Recovery processes, including designing and building recovery plans, testing strategies, test plans, command and control plans and running recovery tests simulating a real disaster,
- Solid knowledge of operational resilience, technology infrastructure, IT backup/ Backup tooling, Technology architecture, cloud computing, IT audit, and integrating resilience frameworks with technology architecture.
- Experienced in IT Service Delivery (gained from working in ITIL environments), technology business alignment, and technology transformation programmes.
- Ability to take an end-to-end view across technology architecture, technology operations, IT service delivery and apply it to relevant business contexts.
- Experienced in overseeing cross-functional teams in a multi-vendor managed service environment.
- Experienced in managing multiple third-party suppliers and partners simultaneously Familiar with IT Operational Processes, toolsets and operating standards, e.g. NIST, ISO 22301.
- ITIL/ IT Service Management accreditation. Flexibility, versatility, and resilience to continually work under changing work scenarios.
