We are looking for a Software Analyst to join a growing and dynamic team. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing software assets, ensuring compliance, providing insights, supporting decision making through management information, and driving cost efficiencies across the organisation.
You will bring at least three years of experience in Software Asset Management, ideally in a retail or fast-paced environment. Experience within the SAM tooling space including ServiceNow SAM Pro or similar. Ideally you will possess a deep understanding of Tier 1 software vendors and experience of managing the end-to-end Software Asset Management Lifecyle.
Attention to detail is key to this role, you will be confident in producing MI Reporting to a high standard. A dynamic, self-motivated, inquisitive, and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment.

What You’ll Do as an Technology Software Asset AnalystIn your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:
- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of software assets, from procurement to retirement.
- Maintain a comprehensive inventory of all software assets within Primark.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date records in the ITAM tooling.
- Implement, maintain, and continually improve policies, standards, processes and procedures for software asset and licensing management.
- Operate within governance frameworks to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
- Conduct regular reviews of policies to ensure they remain effective and up to date.
- Manage and ensure compliance with all software licensing agreements.
- Conduct regular software audits to identify and resolve any discrepancies and identify unused licenses for reprovisioning, maximising cost effectiveness monitor contract renewals and track licensing costs to optimise spend.
- Work with finance, procurement, and cross-functional technology teams to negotiate and manage contracts with software vendors

- Minimum three years of experience in Software License Management, and Software Lifecycle Management.
- Demonstratable experience in Software Asset Management, with a strong focus on licensing and compliance, cost optimisation.
- Proven experience in managing software licenses for major vendors such as but not limited to Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle
- Knowledge of industry good practices around SAM and associated international standards.
- Experience of implementing SAM tooling within a complex environment.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and people skills specific to a fast-paced, global corporate environment.
- Robust problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Experience of collaborating with other teams to support day to day activities.
