At Williamson's Garden, we are a leading UK florist and garden centre, offering a wide variety of plants, flowers, and expert advice to help our customers create beautiful outdoor spaces. In addition to our extensive garden centre, we also have a busy coffee shop that serves delicious beverages and treats to our visitors. Our aim is to create a welcoming, vibrant environment for all customers, whether they're browsing for plants, enjoying a coffee, or seeking advice on gardening.
We’re now looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Retail Assistant to join our team and help us continue to deliver exceptional service to our customers in both our garden centre and coffee shop areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers with product selection, providing expert advice on plants, flowers, and gardening.
- Offer excellent customer service, ensuring a positive and friendly shopping experience.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized store environment, including shelves and display areas.
- Support staff members with day-to-day tasks, including stocking shelves, setting up displays, and assisting in the coffee shop as needed.
- Help with cleaning and maintaining the coffee shop area to ensure a welcoming environment.
- Process transactions at the tills in both the garden centre.
- Assist with stock management, including unpacking deliveries and ensuring products are correctly priced and displayed.
- Support seasonal promotions and special events within the garden centre and coffee shop.
What We’re Looking For:
- A friendly, customer-focused attitude with excellent communication skills.
- A passion for plants, flowers, or gardening, or a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work well in a team and independently.
- A proactive approach to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Previous retail or customer service experience is beneficial, especially in a garden centre or coffee shop setting.
- Flexibility to work during peak seasons.

Pay: £8.60-£11.44 per hour
