Job Title: Paediatric Occupational Therapist

Rate: Up to £38 per hour
An exciting role has become available at the Cardiff Council. They are looking for a Paediatric Occupational Therapist to provide exceptional occupational therapy services to children, enhancing their independence and overall quality of life.
What will your responsibilities be?
In this role, you will conduct detailed assessments of children with diverse needs and create and implement personalized treatment plans. Offering therapeutic interventions to support developmental progress and independence is crucial. You will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, educators, and families to provide comprehensive care, while also providing guidance and support to children and their families. Managing a varied caseload and prioritizing effectively will be essential. You will participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings and case reviews, keep abreast of the latest practices and advancements in paediatric occupational therapy, and maintain thorough and timely records in line with professional standards

Qualifications and Experiences:
To excel in this role, you will need a degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC). Experience in paediatric occupational therapy is essential, along with strong assessment and treatment planning skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are crucial, as is the capability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team (MDT). You will also need a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle, as well as a willingness to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
