Drivers Direct Recruitment are recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers for a well known company in the Nursling area. Newly passed HGV Class 2 Drivers accepted.
For the right candidate this will be a temp to perm position.
Hours of Work:
- Day & Night shifts available.
- Weekend availability as 7 day operation.
- Need to work 5 days out of the 7 days.
- Start times can vary between 1800 - 0500 (Nights).
- Start time can vary between 0600 - 0800 (Days)
Salary:
- Days - £14.31 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
- Nights - £15.45 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
The Role:
- Driving a HGV Class 2 Vehicle.
- Delivering and collecting parcels from other depots.
- Handball will be required.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Carrying out relevant daily vehicle safety checks and reporting as per Operational Procedures.
- Ensure all delivery and collections are carried out in accordance with company procedures.
- To deliver & collect to customers in a safe and professional manner.
- To complete all work related paperwork in full and hand in at the end of the shift.
Essential Skills:
- Must hold a valid Cat C Licence (Class 2).
- Must hold a valid CPC (Driver Qualification) Card.
- Must hold a valid Driver (Tacho) Card.
- Good communication skills.
- Good customer relations.
- Have a safe driving record.
- No more than 6 minor penalty points due to insurance stipulations.
- No DR’s, IN’s or DD’s offence codes due to insurance stipulations.
