A job opportunity has become available to join a long-standing family business.
We are looking for a HGV Class 1 Haulage Driver to join our team.
This will be full time employment, 5 days a week. Monday – Friday.
You will be responsible for:
· Carrying out varied haulage needs directed to you.
· Occasional nights out in the lorry.
· Building a good relationship with colleagues and customers
· Daily vehicle checks to ensure DVSA compliance and roadworthiness.
· Be proactive in planning your route and drops.
· Compliance with Safe systems of work
· Be trustworthy and reliable.
· Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while on the road
· Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
This role requires a Class 1 Artic licence as minimum, a current DQC card and a digital Tacho card. Forklift licence if possible but will provide training if required.
The role will require flexibility to have nights out if needed.
