Driver Hire Bournemouth and Salisbury are offering a flexible temporary opportunity for an experienced HGV 7.5t driver with our client in Poole. As part of this role, you will be required to complete deliveries in an HGV curtain-sider. Unloading will be completed with the assistance of a porter colleague. You will be completing around 20 drops in the local area.
Position: HGV 7.5 tonne driver
Days: Monday-Sunday (flexible)
Start time: 07:00 AM or 11:00 AM
Start date: ASAP
Location: Poole, Dorset
Pay Rate: £13.22-£17.93. Quoted rate is for PAYE advance holiday pay.
As a HGV 7.5t Driver you MUST have:
- a valid UK 7.5t HGV driving licence
- a valid CPC and digital tachograph card
- a minimum of 6 months of recent commercial experience
- your own transport to get to and from work
- no more than 6 penalty points (no DR, DD or IN codes)
As a HGV Driver you will be responsible for:
- Safely operating 7.5t HGVs to transport goods to various locations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, colleagues, and customers
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety
