The Cromwell Hospital is a major private hospital in West London providing outpatient and Inpatient service. The hospital has 180 beds and 4 suites, 6 theatres, level 2 and 3 full intensive care facilities, paediatrics, diagnostic services, physiotherapy, a dedicated day surgery unit, and private GP services.
The pharmacy service is open on Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 8pm and Saturday from 9:00am to 2.30pm

We are looking to appoint a Bank Oncology Pharmacist to provide a first-class clinical pharmacy service to our Oncology department and Chemotherapy Day Unit at the Cromwell Hospital.

You will provide a comprehensive and patient centred service to oncology and chemotherapy day unit patients at Bupa Cromwell Hospital. You will play an essential role in ensuring medicines optimisation; safe, appropriate, accurate and cost-effective services to ensure patients receive their medication in a timey, professional and efficient manner with all the necessary practical and clinical information.

Applicants should have a clinical diploma or equivalent qualification, recent and significant experience of UK Aseptic Services and working within oncology and chemotherapy clinical environments.
What you'll do:
- Provide a comprehensive and patient centred clinical pharmacy service to oncology and chemotherapy day unit patients at Cromwell Hospital in accordance with the hospital’s objectives in order to ensure safe, clinically effective and cost-efficient use of drugs.
- To act as a specialist oncology pharmacist and provide a patient focused clinical pharmacy ward service to the oncology ward and chemotherapy day unit.
- Ensure safe management of oncology electronic prescribing system and appropriate management of introduction of new oncology medicines.
- To communicate information relating to medicines management within the oncology setting to clinical colleagues, nurses, independent prescribers, carers and patients.
- Attending and actively contributing to oncology MDTs and ward rounds.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role;
- Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (essential)
- Member of General Pharmaceutical Council (essential)
- Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy (essential)
- SACT knowledge acquired working as a cancer pharmacist (essential)
- Recent and significant experience of UK aseptic services, oncology and chemotherapy services (essential)
- Broad clinical pharmacy background including ward-based work
- Experience of initiating, leading and developing services
- You should have demonstrable knowledge of good manufacturing practice (GMP) and quality assurance (QA) standards
