Coffee Shop Manager .
Flowers for Florists Ltd, a thriving flower and floral sundries wholesaler based in South Godstone are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual to take charge of The Coffee Shop at Flowers for Florists.
As the Coffee Shop Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing daily operations, maintaining high standards, and ensuring the smooth running of the Coffee Shop.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fully managing the day-to-day operations of The Coffee Shop.
- Opening and closing the shop, ensuring readiness for service each day.
- Creating our menu and daily specials list.
- Preparing and serving made-to-order food items, such as sandwiches, paninis, and toasties.
- Serving high-quality coffee and a variety of hot and cold beverages.
- Managing stock, including ordering, receiving, and conducting regular stock checks.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and compliant food preparation area in line with food safety regulations.
- Leading and supervising a small team, including creating staff schedules and rotas.
- Delivering excellent customer service and fostering a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.
About You:
- Experience: You have proven experience in managing or running a coffee shop, café, or similar food and beverage establishment. You have food preparation skills.
- Leadership: Confident in supervising, motivating, and supporting a small team.
- Organisation: Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
- Passion: A love for great coffee, food, and customer service.
Hours:
The Coffee Shop is currently open 6 days a week, though depending on time of year this may extend to 7 days. We open at 8 and close at 2.30pm but as we get busier we would look to potentially extend these hours. Today, shifts are shared amongst three staff but depending on who we hire and their availability we have some flexibility about when we open and close and how shifts are allocated.
Pay:
We anticipate the hourly pay to be somewhere between £13.50 and £15.50, but final amount will be a function of the successful candidates experience and fit with the business. We are also budgeting to include performance related pay based on the profitability of the Coffee Shop.
