The Senior IT Change Specialist will manage the delivery of large, complex technology projects within a regulated environment, ensuring they meet time, cost, and quality standards. Work across Bupa Global and Bupa UK on high-priority changes with significant risks and interdependencies. Define and drive assigned programs/projects, managing specialist teams for high-standard day-to-day deliveries.
You will oversee the entire project lifecycle, from business case to implementation, ensuring business readiness and benefits realization. You will serve as the senior point of contact between leadership teams, steering committees, and project teams.
How you’ll help us make health happen:
- Deliver and manage IT projects to agreed plans, budgets, quality, and timescales, mitigating risks and resolving issues.
- Coordinate activities, dependencies, and critical paths to align with project goals.
- Create and manage project plans, resources, budgets, success factors, and milestones.
- Ensure clarity of roles and responsibilities for team members.
- Manage relationships with IT areas to optimize resource use within project scope and budget.
- Develop business case documentation and ensure governance processes are followed.
- Provide financial forecasts and project reports to stakeholders and finance teams.
- Lead, manage, and motivate the project team, including supervisory and matrix management.
- Align with Bupa’s IT project governance and delivery frameworks.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs and increase service throughout the project.
- Engage and manage internal/external teams and third parties effectively.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
- Excellent knowledge of AgilePM, SAFe, and PRINCE2 methodologies.
- Programme and Project Management qualification
- Strong commercial and vendor management experience.
- Proven stakeholder management skills across diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to identify and manage project risks, issues and
- dependencies.
- Highly proficient in project resource and budget and cost management.
- Ability to construct and deliver presentations and options papers.
- Experience working with teams across multiple geographies.
