We are looking for friendly, positive and sensible people to join our small team as a Companion Drivers. This is a rewarding and satisfying, people centred job.
You need the following skill set;
- be kind, careful, sensible and reliable, have good people skills and excellent time keeping and regular availability to work
- have common sense and be practical
- be a safe driver, hold a full, clean UK drivers license with at least 10yrs driving experience
- basic IT skills so you can access your bookings online.
- based in the Lymington - Christchurch area as the vehicles are stationed near New Milton.
Please note - You will be driving people of varying ages and health, and many will be wheel chair users.
You will be required to obtain a Private Hire Drivers License from the council, which we will help you with. This will include enhanced DBS Check, medicals, driving assessment and drugs test. You will also need to undertake First Aid and Safeguarding training. Please note this can all take up to 2 months to process so patience will be another attribute!
Our usual operational hours are Mon-Fri 0830-1800 although some jobs start or end before or after these hours. We occasionally work weekends when overtime will be paid.
Hours are flexible depending on your availability. We aim to give you at least 10 hrs per week and expect to offer more over time. We are only looking for people with regular availability.
