County Foods, a successful supplier of meat products, delicatessen and dry goods to the catering industry based in Poole, are currently recruiting an experienced Delivery Driver to join our busy team. You will be required to deliver a range of fresh and frozen produce to various catering establishments. (Approx. 20-30 drops per day)
Working Hours: 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (30 minute lunch break)
37.5 hours per week, worked over 5 days, Monday to Saturday. (non-working days are Sunday plus 1 day off in the week to be agreed - This cannot include Mondays or Saturdays)
As a representative of the Company who visits our customers, we require drivers who understand the importance of customer service. A good local knowledge of roads within a 50 mile radius of Poole plus previous experience of providing exceptional customer service is essential.
Additionally, the role involves:
- Accurately checking delivery/advice notes, reporting any anomalies
- Accurately completing paperwork
- Loading & unloading vehicles as required, lifting and carrying heavy weights (max. 20kg)
- Maintaining the cleanliness of vehicles both inside and out
The ideal candidate will have:
- A good local knowledge of roads within a 50 mile radius of Poole
- Experience of multi-drop delivering, ideally in the food industry
- Good customer service skills
- A clean driving licence
- A good level of both written and spoken English
- The ability to build professional relationships with customers
- Be well presented
