Job Title: Occupational Therapist

Rate: Up to £35 per hour
An exciting role has become available at the Wigan Metropolitan Borough Council. they are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join their Community Services team.
What will your responsibilities be?
In this role, you will need to assess the needs of both adults and children for the provision of equipment and adaptations. You will develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and conduct comprehensive assessments for complex major adaptations. You will provide appropriate information and advice to service users and their families. You will also collaborate with other agencies such as Housing, NHS, and voluntary organizations to ensure the best outcomes. You need to ensure that completed adaptations meet the assessed needs and provide equipment to enable the best use of the adaptations. You will stay updated on developments within the Occupational Therapy equipment field. Lastly, you will maintain your professional development and keep a professional portfolio to meet ongoing Health Professions Council registration needs.

Qualifications and Experiences:
To be successful in this role, you will need proven experience in both adult and paediatric occupational therapy, as well as experience in assessing for equipment and adaptations, including complex major adaptations. Registration with the HCPC is essential. You should have strong skills in identifying and managing the needs of both adults and children, along with excellent organizational and prioritization abilities. Additionally, the ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT) is crucial.
