About the Role

We are looking for a part-time Finance Assistant to join our small, dynamic team based in the heart of Shoreditch. Fifty-five are a marketing analytics consultancy with ambitious growth plans, and we are looking for an adaptable and resilient Finance Assistant to help us keep our day-to-day finance work on track, and to be a trusted partner to our Finance Manager and senior leadership team. The role would be roughly 3 days/ week and a blend of office-based and homeworking.

Responsibilities

As Finance Specialist, you will be responsible for the following:

Assisting with accounts payable and receivable activities.
Supporting month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to financial data.
Accurately maintaining and monitoring data in the company's resource and project management systems, ensuring data integrity and timely completion.
Contributing to the development of efficient processes.
Assisting with internal and external audits.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in a similar role (min. 5 years), preferably in a fast-paced environment.
Strong knowledge and proven experience in applying accounting principles and practices.
Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical accuracy.
Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
